“Was in Florida visiting my parents. They told me about this great breakfast place to eat. I absolutely loved it. The special French toast is delicious. I even took my wife here when we came down to visit my parents again. She loved her omelette. I had to get the special French toast again. 1st time our server was Joanie she was on top of everything & so sweet. 2nd time was Joann & we never ever had to ask for anything she was on top of everything. We meet the owner John & he was great. He would walk through the dining room talking to all the guest. Looking forward to my next visit to Florida so I can get some amazing food and service. They should have a place here in Salt Lake City so I don’t have to travel to Florida for breakfast ????”

“I am new to the area and tried this place for the first time, and absolutely love the place. The food is excellent and the employees are great. The owner even came around and talked to us a great while. They have a great selection of German beers including a great doppelbock which you can’t get anywhere. The food is all made in house and desert cake is delicious. I’ve been other places where desert could’ve been from Publix , but not here. Great place and will be back!”

I see all of these great reviews (one of the reasons we stopped in) and I just wonder if we had stopped in when someone was having a bad day or something. Both my husband and I were not impressed. The red sauce was so-so. We were also thrown back into the back room (overflow seating I guess) and the ambiance was not all that. Maybe that ruined my meal. I don't know. Eggplant was very tasty though. I just have high expectations for red sauce (I come from a large Italian family) and this was runny without much flavor. Sorry not trying to offend. If I go back, I will try another sauce.”

“We went to the blue turtle for the first time last week and loved the food and drinks! Our waitress Holly recommended some drinks and explained the specials to us. We ended up getting the lobster bisque, coconut shrimp, Mac and cheese and the burger. It was absolutely amazing! Holly was very attentive and had a great personality and smile the whole time! “Pleasant Punta Gorda hang out with live music on the weekend. Indoor/Outdoor bar is a nice respite. Dinner service is very good at a booth or a table. Drinks are pricey, but quite good. Appetizers were delicious. The Calypso Seafood Soup was especially yummy! Don’t share it, it’s too good to share. The entrees are mostly excellent. Stay away from the fish and chips - light on the fish and heavy on the batter. Swordfish is excellent.”
