Chef X

This was our first time here. When you see it from the road you think it's a pick up food place. They actually have a very cute little sitting area inside. Order first and then sit down. The staff is super friendly. My husband and I ate here for lunch. Excellent portions. The food was delicious. We both got the Jack's Caribbean pulled pork sandwich was amazing. We loved the fries. We left so full. We will definitely be back and it's definitely worth a try.

10/7/23 Update: Another absolutely amazing dinner at Chef-X. It’s Saturday night, this place should be packed! Come try it, trust me.

Original: A friend turned us on to Chef-X at 1600 Idlewild Ave in Green Cove Springs, FL, and I must say it's just another hidden gem that's not to be missed. This perfect "hole-in-the-wall" eatery offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff's friendly demeanor and the cozy setup throw an immediate"I wanna eat here" vibe that's hard to resist.

After checking the menu, I was faced with an dozens of tasty options that left me torn between choices. Ultimately, I settled on the Cali-burger, while my love 😍 , NiniTheGangsta, ventured out of her comfort zone and opted for the Ranchero burger. Both selections were masterpieces in their own right, and they're beautifully captured in the pictures shared.

As soon as our plates were placed in front of us, I said, "I think we may have finally found our favorite burger place," and that statement held true even before taking that first delicious bite. The burgers were nothing short of perfection, with flavors that smacked the palate and textures that were a neurodivergent’s happy place. Notably, neither of us left a single bite on our plates – a rarity for NiniThePatriot, who usually ends up with a takeout box.

What sets Chef-X apart is their unwavering commitment to using the freshest ingredients and crafting each dish with an impeccable attention to taste and quality. Every bite is a testament to their dedication and passion for their craft. It's evident that these talented folks are the real deal, and their culinary prowess shines through in every dish they create.

If you find yourself passing through Green Cove Springs while journeying west, make sure not to blink or you might miss this culinary treasure. Chef-X is a destination that promises not just a meal, but a memorable dining experience that you'll want to revisit time and time again.

Update: We couldn’t stay away so went back for a late lunch on Saturday (the next day) and shared the Caribbean Pork fries & a Patty Melt, both now also pictured. I’m adding another 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Omg!!! I’m so glad I found this place! It’s truly a hidden gem. My cousin and I stumbled upon this place after catering a wedding and let me tell you this place was amazing! When you walk in it’s so warm and inviting. The customer service is top tier. I got the Caribbean pulled pork nachos and my cousin got the Caesar salad wrap with fries. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. The dining room was clean and comfortable. This is definitely worth the drive from Jacksonville. 10/10 recommend.

Such a great place to eat with amazing service! Food was delicious too. They gave us extra fries and even gave my son some really cool skull pancakes to try! Go check it out 🙂 Highly recommend.

Delicious food, fantastic friendly service, family friendly atmosphere. If you haven't been here, you're sleeping on breakfast! More food than you can eat! Giant pancakes, better than mom's. I had the breakfast burrito. Will definitely return to try their lunch/ dinner menu.

Back again and breakfast was delicious.
