Oh man! Had a breakfast burrito the size of my head! Absolutely amazing. Friendly staff, and a really unique atmosphere. Definitely a new favorite for vacation breakfast!

I was exploring Keystone Heights, and came across Clyde's Cozy Corner. When I entered, I was almost immediately seated. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, with seasoned potatoes. They don't serve fries for some reason, but the potatoes were good! I highly recommend the Reuben. For such a tiny place, they have really good food! There's even outside tables to eat at. The service was good, and prices were okay. Recommend that you try Clyde's, even if you are just passing through.

We stopped here for lunch after our ride on the nearby Palatka to Lake Butler paved trail! The food was great and it was big portions. I really felt like we got our moneys worth. I was also cooked to order, you could see them preparing it in the kitchen. LuLu had the patty melt, I had the Philly cheese steak sub. It was 93° outside it could’ve been a tad cooler inside but it was OK. Like I said we just got done riding our bikes 16 miles on the trail. We will be back!!

Update. We were out thrifting in our local area and decided to try Clyde's Cafe again. We shared a Reuben Sandwich, chips and the yummy spicy pickles. I would call this lunch OK. The corned beef was thickly sliced and although it was tender we agreed that we prefer it to be shaved or thinly sliced. I would have preferred more Thousand Island dressing on it but that's on me for not asking. We are also not fans of bagged kettle chips, we should have ordered the potato salad or Cole slaw. The pickles were delicious. Service was great.

Update. Well today was our second visit to Clyde's and it didn't turn out as well as the first visit. We shared the double decker club with cornbread salad and spicy bread and butter pickles. The club was packed high with ham, turkey, American cheese, lettuce and tomato and bacon but it had a smidge of mayo which made the toasted sandwich very dry. Our waitress served our order and never returned so we ate the dry sandwich. The cornbread salad was overly sweet and the flavor was just not to our liking. Also, Hubs coke was a little bit flat. Not our best meal. My stars rating reflects our current satisfaction. That won't stop us from trying other dishes and we need to be more outspoken with our requests.

Although the interior of the cafe is underwhelming the food and service were excellent. It's a very small cafe with a few tables of varying sizes and outdated decor, it could use a remodel but it was not an uncomfortable atmosphere. Our waitress was quick to arrive and very friendly and attentive throughout our meal. I ordered the seafood chowder, a garden salad and water. Hub ordered the Reuben sandwich, chips and a soda. The food is made to order and was served in a reasonable amount of time. The most surprising and satisfying part was the flavor of the meal. I actually had that wow moment with the first taste of my soup. It was creamy and delicious. My cup was filled with a generous portion of shrimp and crab and potato and corn. The salad was one of the best side salads I have had, like something I would make at home. It had a good amount of lettuce, tomato, diced red and yellow peppers and onion. I normally don't like raw onion in a salad but this was sweet enough to eat on its own. It reminded me of strawberry onions from Plant City, Florida.
I tasted hubs Reuben and it was delicious also. It had a generous amount of meat and sauerkraut with the right amount of sauce. He was also given a little side cup of spicy butter pickles that were quite addictive in their sweet heat combination of flavor. They reminded me of Wickles pickles but better. If they don't sell those by the jar, they should. I hope that we have found our new favorite local lunch spot. We will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.
