I love the food here and the customer service is great also. Adam Athan always goes above and beyond in customer service!! As a business owner, I know how important customer service and building relationships with people is! It will make or break a business.
Quality of food is always up to par for this branch of the franchise. But I always feel that the portion sizes are just a bit underwhelming as even with a Take 2 option of a bread bowl soup and a half sandwich with an apple and a refillable drink I always finish with room to spare. Maybe that's the idea to get you to buy a dessert option as well? Either way, I do enjoy my time at Panera with every visit and I love the green tea.
Food is okay, good quality but very very pricey. $6.39 for half of a sandwich, $6.19 for half of a salad and $2.39 for a small drink. I was surprised just how small the portions were. My total was $16.25 , I was floored when I paid the bill. I can't see paying this again. Just soup and sandwiches . I could have a very nice meal for that price. Not going back .
For breakfast this morning, I chose bacon, sun dried tomatoes, and grilled cheese sandwich. It was perfect. Of all the unconventional breakfast options I've chosen throughout my lifetime, I haven't ever considered this one. The bread was thick, but nice, not gummy. The cheese was beautifully flavored and the bacon and tomatoes added the right amount of savory and sweet. I also chose to mix my drinks by going half blood orange & half plum. That cut back my sugar intake on the drink. It also went well with the flavor of the sandwich.
All of their employees are good, caring, service minded people...but their management is corporate minded - not customer friendly. We show up there every Saturday to have brunch and a Bible study. Some days I get a bread bowl of soup and ask them to overflow the bowl so that the outside crust softens a little before I get that far to eat the bowl. In many stores that isn't a bad request but here it is against policy. So I buy another bowl of soup. If you buy a cup it's only 30 cents less than a bowl. I'm sure they throw out more than they would have given me but I spend a fair amount of money there (between $20 and $40 each time we stop there) and didn't think that I am hurting their bottom line. We are going to give them some relief from the strain of refusing that special request for a while...
...there's a coffee shop on Park St we want to check out...
...otherwise, I would give them 5 stars...
