Highly recommended. We had the shrimp and grits, catfish plate, shrimp creole, hush puppies, peach cobbler, and bread pudding. Everything was great and it was definitely worth the wait as they cook everything to order. We'll definitely be going back!
Absolutely amazing! As someone who grew up in New Orleans I have extremely high standards for how Cajun food should be, and they passed every single one! The portions are huge, the prices fantastic and the flavors make you feel like you’re in New Orleans. The restaurant is clean and cozy and the staff and owners are so friendly. In true southern fashion they will make sure to know your name the second you walk in the door and will keep up good and just plain entertaining conversation the entire time you are there. Honestly cannot day enough good things about this place. Wether you are a Cajun expert or newbie you absolutely have to check this place out. I will definitely be back and be bringing all my friends.
Outstanding food and staff. Highly recommended!! They only have two tables so take out is a good idea but everything I've had has been excellent. It's on my weekly list.
Went for take out on Friday and ordered Shrimp and Grits and Jambalaya. The food was delicious with just the right amount of spice. The 2 pieces of cornbread which came with the order were also great. I definitely recommend them and will absolutely be back! The best New Orleans style cooking in Jacksonville.
Alan and Michael are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They greet you warmly and make you feel right at home. The menu has a great selection of Cajun food and the food tastes like my Cajun grandma made it (that is if I had one). I am saying the food is so good that even yo momma can’t compete! We had the jambalaya at Alan’s recommendation and it lived up to his promise of being scrumptious. We had some of the bourbon peach cobbler and strawberry cheesecake and both were homemade and delicious. We took home some red beans and rice and it was just like I like them; earthy tasting with a creamy texture! We will be back to try each item on the menu!! Please spread the word about this hidden gem!
