Excellent-highly recommend. We tried gator bites delicious and they do not taste like chicken. Amazing black bean soup. The flan and coconut pineapple ice cream were to die for…
Came upon this quaint restaurant after an airboat tour in the Everglades. The owner, Maggie, was our server.
She was helpful & sweet. Lots of great outdoor seating & the inside was very clean & inviting. The menu had good options for a snack, lunch or something more substantial. I had the fresh fish sandwich with tasty coated fries. Food was hot & service quick.
Oh my! What a fabulous dinner we had when we visited Captain Morgan's Seafood Grill. You are met with a light airy beachy vibe upon entering. This restaurant is really quite stunning as they took time to put thought into each and every detail. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server. She was so welcoming and friendly. We had a few questions about the items on the menu and she took the time to patiently answer our questions. We started with the Mermaid Shrimp Ceviche as recommended and it was amazing. I asked a few questions about the Enchilado plates, not to be confused with Enchiladas. The Enchilado plates include seafood in a Cuban red sauce with a variety of peppers and olives. I was intrigued as I've never had an Enchilado plate before. We ordered the Wild Shrimp Enchilado Plate and the Sailor Baked Whole Red Snapper both entrees are served with Black Beans, White Rice, and Sweet Plantains. We were informed that the Snapper would take approximately 20 minutes to cook, which was no problem at all as we were not in any hurry. I can say that it was worth the brief wait for this amazing food! Let me tell you if you have never had an Enchilado plate you should find one and the place is at Captain Morgan's. It was bursting with flavor down to the black beans. I'm not sure how you make black beans taste so amazing but they have it figured out! The Whole Red Snapper was cooked to perfection, delicate and tender. We finished our meal with a Captain's Signature Cuban Rum Flan which was phenomenal. This restaurant is top notch and I highly recommend a visit if you are in the Everglades. What I mean is take a trip to the Everglades to dine at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!
The atmosphere was very pleasant and clean. Great location. The food was very tasty and delicious, the rum flan was amazing. Wonderful staff. All around a very nice experience. Would recommend and will visit again.
We were lucky to stumble across this brand new restaurant on its opening day last Friday night. My husband and I both enjoyed delicious dinners out on their porch. Plenty of seating both indoors and out, and friendly helpful servers. I had the wild shrimp enchilado (NOT to be confused with an enchilada, this is shrimp in a flavorful but not hot spicy tomato based sauce) and my husband had a whole baked red snapper. Both were served with beans and rice, and sweet plantains. They also have a ice cream and coffee shop in a separate room accessed from the porch. Check it out!
