Good food, very homemade taste and feel

Decent place for breakfast or lunch. Parking is very tight and the place is awkwardly positioned on southeast corner of Radio and Airport. No blame to the owners, but the place can be difficult to get into, and parking is very tight.

They have a small menu but offer a mix of dishes that seem to be influences throughout Central America - and even North America and South America. I have been to many countries in Central America and only in the US and Mexico have I had chips and salsa served to me. These guys do it as well.

The food is OK but nothing special. I have had better but I have also had much worse. Unfortunately the service was not very good. Only two other tables were in use when we arrived but we waited a long time for menus, then an even longer time before someone took our drink order. The food took an extremely long time to come - no excuse because one of the two tables with people had already cleared out. Now there were only two tables. I emptied my drink before we even got to order our food but it was not until our food came (over 30 minutes wait) before I got a refill. I asked for one when ordering food but that refill never came.

I was hoping for a nice spot to go on a weekend for a typical lunch of rice/beans/plantains and chicken. It is unfortunate they serve refried beans instead of black beans. It is unfortunate I had to wait over 30 minutes for my lunch.

It's now the Tikal Cafe... great for breakfast lunch and dinner! Always fast and fresh! It's must try! Baleadas are my favorite
