(March 31, 2019, 4:48 am)A wonderful historic site. Originally owned by the Putnam family. Now under new management. Beverly and her husband, the new owners, are great . The rooms are nice and clean. The grounds are beautiful. Not far from Tallahassee nor Tampa. They also have event space for over 200 people. At least stop and take a tour. Old Florida at its best.

(February 7, 2019, 11:47 pm)The lodge is an amazing, old facility, trying to hang on despite the odds. The lodge is lovely, but the wood processing plant across the street is not. It is beautiful and old, so don't expect the outlets you need for your multiple devices. The staff, including the little dog, are very friendly. It is a great place for a romantic stay. And the best place to stay between Perry and Chiefland. I would stay here again, and again.
