Sun Deli

The staff is friendly. The location is small and tucked away in a strip center. Creative menu. Boars Head meat is a plus but the bread needs some work. Never understood when you walk in it looks like a Hallmark store with greeting cards for sale.

I have been going to Sun-Deli for the past 15+ years. There are many great sandwich/sub shops around Jax but Sun-Deli is personally my favorite. The bread they use combined with the quality of meat and the concoctions they put together are so darn good. The 3rd street (all the way, and hot) is my go-to or the Gnarly Charlie (with added avocado). I prefer mine hot (toasted) but they are just as good cold if you prefer that way. The cuban (pictured here) and cheesesteak are also really good. The Void and 9.0 are great if you want something different and extra filling.

Probably one of the best sub shops I have ever been too. Not over exaggerating at all. Question Mark is my favorite. Must visit or go anytime when in Jacksonville Beach. Everyone agrees it is the best sub shop in the first coast.

Hands down the best sub in Jax, no one is even close. The bread is fresh and it doesn't over power the sandwich like others. Their potato salad reminds me of home.
