This food makes me so happy. The curry goat, cabbage and plantains are a wonderful combo any day.

Just stopped by with my husband and I was saddened to see they were in the process of renovating. As we prepared to u-turn and leave, I saw they had a food truck setup on the back side of the restaurant. We got out and ordered a plate of oxtails, mac&cheese and rice and peas. BEST DECISION EVER! The food was absolutely amazing and lemonade/tea was so satisfying. Everything was cooked just right and topped with superb customer service. Whoever cooked definitely has a passion for cooking. This food was made with love.

This is how you know that the restaurant you are eating at is authentic with their Curry goat dish: they have fresh potatoes and carrots in the curry gravy. Some restaurants will add frozen vegetables with peas, corn and carrots to the curry. You can tell if it is frozen by the shape of the vegetables; like the small bite size vegetables that are frozen packed you would buy at the grocery store. If the frozen vegetables are added, the dish will have a frost bite after taste. I recommend you ask the staff to see the dish or ask what type of veggies do they have in the dish. If they say corn is in it....opt for another menu item. This is one of the restaurants in Jacksonville that serves the authentic dish with fresh carrots and potatoes.

Food was delicious, fresh, and amazing portions for price. Everyone working there was extremely friendly and you could tell they love what they do.

Again, this CARIBBEAN RESTAURANT reminds me of home. I swear cultured food be so different from back home. New York just seems like the food is more cultured and tastes way better than anywhere else. I love love their OX TAIL DINNER, that's my favorite dish from any Caribbean restaurant. And I love their FRIED PLANTAINS. There COCO BREAD & BEEF PARTIES are somewhat good, the few times I ordered it the BEEF PATTY was a bit dry.
