My buddy grandma runs this little hidden jewel if you love good ol home cooking this is the place to go
This is a little hidden gem of a restaurant that is unassumingly located on Normandy Blvd. in a random strip mall. They used to be located in Murray Hill and have been in business for some time. You really can't beat there lunch specials. Homemade food made with so much love, Aunt Jan can usually be found right along her staff serving up some of the delicious. Don't make the mistake of skipping dessert because they are all made with love and are worth every calorie. The desserts are about $1.75 per slice, serving, container. You can get one meat and 2 sides with your choice of bread (I like their Texas Toast & Cornbread!) for $5.99. How can you beat that really? And did I tell you the food is so comforting and delish? It is...
Great home cooked food. Breakfast is best. A very country home atmosphere in this small restaurant. Close to I-10. They are not open on weekends.
Everything at this quaint country eatery is delicious. I've never went in and they weren't bustling with workers, families, etc. enjoying their meal. Everything is filling, I've yet to be able to finish an entire meal. I love the big boss hog type breakfast that has sausage, bacon AND ham! The lunch is never a let down either. The BEST and creamiest macaroni and cheese as well! Everything is hot and fresh and the chilled desserts are amazing! All thr ladies who work behind the counter are pleasant to interact with- especially Becca! ????
Love this place service with a smile. Had a busy morning and missed dinner the night before, I didn't have time to cook and wanted to eat before I started work. I'v eaten there and it's always good food a nice crowd, but I was kinda worried about time. I took a chance ordered and by the time I fixed a cup of coffee I had a hot breakfast and enough time to stop but the pharmacy. Thanks Aunt Jan you the best and did I say the only place you get better prices are at home?
