Whiskey Jax Kitchen & Cocktails

The food was very good. My family and I went to the restaurant for Taco Tuesday. I got a beef taco and the shrimp taco and both were delicious. My husband ordered two tacos but received one taco and a fry. To the server's credit, she had one of the taco's taken off of our bill. One of my sons got the cheese burger kids meal. The burger was a little over cooked and the bun was burned. They grill the buns. If it were my burger I would not have minded, but my son is 5 and refused to eat it. My other son got the chicken bites which were very good. I did notice that their fries and chicken bites were a bit dark. It seems they needed to change their oil in the fryers.
The service was not terrible. However, compared to the food it was lacking. There was no wow factor. It took longer than it should have for the waitress to come to the table initially. I saw the manager walking around and helping, but he rarely left the bar area. Considering how good the food was, I was surprised there were not more patrons in the restaurant. The bar was packed, and I have a feeling management caters to that crowd. When we left there was a gentleman out front who had thrown up all over the sidewalk. Not something I wanted my kids to see. It seems they may have over-served him. That was frustrating also because I ordered a margarita and there was little to no alcohol in it.
Again, food was great, but there was much to be desired in the hospitality department.

Atmosphere is fun. Bloody Mary was great. Food was mostly good. Service seems to be an opportunity for them. Server had little to no personality. It took 55 minutes to get the food on the table from the time we sat down and they were not busy. We ordered right as she delivered the drinks. Two tables that sat 10 minutes after us had their food 15 minutes before us. I am not sure where the breakdown was, but it was definitely noticed.

I wanted to update this due to owner reply. I will not be collecting on the giftcard because I dont provide reviews for that reason. Although this was my first time visiting this restaurant I know they are better than my experience may reflect. I do think it was an isolated experience and I will be looking forward to my next visit.

Best burgers ever! They serve big Angus beef burgers that are amazing. The server and manager were very responsive to my gluten allergy and made sure everything was safe. They have a dedicated fryer and gluten free buns. Everyone loved what they ordered. They have live music on Sundays.

Just wanted to say. Wonderful service! The girls were very nice and sweet to my family and myself. The food was perfect as well.
My husbands wings came out steaming and my Mediterranean chicken came out juicy and melted in my mouth.
