Really cozy and the food is excellent. The omelette was huge. The home fries or the roasted potatoes were really well cooked. Can't go wrong with any of the French toast or waffles. Will have to try lunch sometime
Oh my! This location is where you go when you want to feel the quaintness of community. There is a busyness that is refreshing to see because you know this is where everyone feels familiar or familial and even if it’s your first time going; there is a shared love over this homey diner food. You feel like you’re apart of the kitchen and feel like you know it was made with love—or just really efficient workers. Definitely try the Belgian waffles, bacon, and spicy honey chicken biscuits. That flavor is ????????
Wonderful place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Sitting at the counter top to watch the action in the kitchen is a must. It's fascinating watching how well the kitchen staff works in such a tiny area. It's like watching a choreographed performance. Their food is off the chain awesome, and there's plenty of it. Expect to take home a to-go box. If you're a peach tea fan, it's a must. Staff was super friendly, including the manager that stopped by to say hello. The crab cake eggs benedict is a must-have as well.
I've been here many times. It's my favorite metro diner location. I love that's it's small. I have a thing for small cozy places. I love to sit outside at this location. Yes it can be overcrowded and busy sometimes. (also why I avoid sitting inside). The outdoor seats are not that comfortable but nonetheless I still enjoy sitting out there. The food is amazing! There was one time I went and my breakfast potatoes were just cooked chopped potatoes (no seasoning, not even salt). I wasn't impressed with the bland potatoes so now I make sure to ask that they be dressed up a bit.
Otherwise the food is overall great and the service is exceptional!
Holy smokes!! Everywhere my wife and I travel we look for places featured on food network shows. I'm glad we did because this place was amazing! It is a small atmosphere with maybe seating for 40-50 people at most but the wait staff is on their game! We had Rocky and she was awesome, had some nice witty banter with us and recommended the shrimp and grits... We are from Georgia and we know a thing or two about grits, this wasn't the typical shrimp and grits they were fried grit patties in a cream sauce with peppers, sausage, bacon, and chives... It was delicious! My wife had a southwest wrap that was spot on.. when we come to Jacksonville again, we WILL be coming back! Check this place out!!
