This place is so amazing and awesome. I can't even say enough good things about this place staff is so friendly and helpful. Food for price taste spectacular and portions are so good that it makes me feel like I am getting ripped off by other breakfast places

Been going here since I was literally a toddler and I don’t intend to ever stop! Their breakfast is awesome, and they have lots of delicious omelette options if you’re an omelette kinda person. They offer lunch as well, but the breakfast is really where it’s at. If you’re visiting Jacksonville this is the number one breakfast place you should stop at. You’ll realize quickly why every local raves about The Fox. Not only is the food great but the service is even better. A lot of the staff that I see working there to this day has been there since I was a kid 10-15 years ago, and if you’re a regular they’re sure to remember you. If you’re going on a weekend, get there early or you’re gonna be waiting for a while in a line going down the block. (But it’s worth the wait!)

No one needs the fox's reputation explained to them.

I had been a frequent visitor years ago, but honestly stopped going because it's incredibly busy and sometimes I don't feel like waiting on the sidewalk.

I will say this though, they have earned every bit of the adulation the community has for them.

I decided to visit today and had breakfast with my mother, Got The Honky Tonk omelette and it did not disappoint. The ingredients, the preparation and the portions were perfect. Without a doubt, it had the best sausage gravy I've ever had in a restaurant. I'm not certain what the preparation was, but it was fresh flavorful and almost impossible to differentiate from its homemade counterpart.

Both my mother and I share the opinion that the fox is probably the best short order cooking in the county, if not anywhere.

The atmosphere is comfortable and casual, the service is fast and friendly and the prices are more than reasonable. Our server, Cara, was Charming, courteous and attentive.

We will definitely be dining there again in the very near future.

This is a fantastic place for breakfast! The food is yummy, made to order diner style, and decently priced. That is not the greatest part, though. The vibe that this place puts out is pure awesome. The staff is not only attentive, but interacts with the customers and one another in an upbeat way. Ian, the manager, is at the door and grooving people to open tables. I left there wanting to high five humanity.

This quaint little bistro delivers big on the food. If you love some no nonsense good eating then this is the place. Flavorful, generously sized portions, and fast service.
Our server, Alex, was sensational! Never had to ask for a drink refill. She knew the menu backwards and forwards. Made recommendations based on our current taste wants and made suggested adding to really complete the flavor we were going for. We will be requesting to sit in her section next time we are in.
The owner was busily helping out in all aspects of the restaurant. You could see him sitting customers, bringing out food, checking on customer feedback, and just being a genuinely good guy. When you come to eat here it’s like coming home.
We really cannot express enough the amount of joy we had in our visit. We are happy to have found a new favorite in the Riverside area.
