Huey's Nashville Hot Chicken

This is literally the best place I have ever eaten. Not only were me and my mans waiting for this place to open for the longest, it exceeded our expectations. The service was amazing, everyone was wearing masks and they were sanitizing everything. But I haven’t even gotten to the chicken.. Best chicken I’ve ever had. I got the tenders and they were huge and spicy in the best way with a hint of sweet? No gristle and super white meat. I’m going to eat here at least once a week!! Thank you for giving Jax something it was missing out on!

Got 1/2 bird hot with collards to go. I would go with 1/4 bird or the sandwich next time as it was too much food. The collards were good, there were a few pieces of pork in them. The chicken was excellent, very juicy and tasty. I've not had hot chicken in Nashville so I don't have a frame of reference but I thought the hot seasoning was good.

I feel that being an oil based sauce it transfers different flavors than a normal water based hot sauce, but it keeps the chicken crispier. I got a side of their hottest sauce as well and an glad I didn't get that all over the chicken for the sake of my lips. I would try it on a sandwich or maybe the tenders. It has more flavor to it as well as heat that I'm guessing comes from additional hot peppers.

I went at 2:30 on a Wednesday. There was no line but several individuals waiting on their food, the employees were polite and personable, and my food was out in about 10 minutes. Food was fantastic, got the "mother clucker" temp chicken tenders and it checked off all the Nashville Hot boxes, from great slightly sweet flavor with a warm bite that builds to a scorching heat, crinkle cut fries that I actually liked (super crispy, with them being slightly doused in the sauce), high quality and a very generous serving size (the tenders were large) for the price (~ $10). Great experience all around -- just remember to wash your hands immediately after you eat, good lord.

Had to stop in to Huey's Nashville Hot Chicken on day one. Ordered Huey's Hot Chicken Sandwich (fried chicken breast, coleslaw, pickles and comeback sauce. Ordered the medium heat, which had plenty spice. Side of potato salad, which was sour cream based. Also had some banana pudding. That sandwich was so tender that if I didn't eat the sandwich fast enough, it would fall apart. Eventually the sandwich won as I could not finish this amount of food, which is crazy because the person next to me has the 1/4 chicken, which was so much more food. Highly recommend trying. If you love the heat, I think you will love this place.
