I live near Savannah Ga and it is difficult to find good Ethiopian food around home. I found this place when traveling home and will definitely return. I got the vegan combo. It came with a pretty standard assortment of Ethiopian food, but it was well seasoned and well prepared. The shiro wat and the beats were particularly good here. The injera had a sharper taste than I've eaten elsewhere, which I enjoyed. When you order the coffee service, they pan roast the beans to order. It's great.
Lalibela is in a run-down strip mall, but don't let that keep you away. The food is amazing. The Vegan Combo is what we get every time. The owners are so nice and provide great service. She makes everything from scratch. The restaurant is decorated nicely inside. I love this place. I just wish it were closer to my house. I have been a couple times and have to drive about 30 minutes out of my way each time, but it's worth it!
I can’t say enough good things about this place. They are amazing. Service was wonderful. Food was even better. I went with a group and everyone had something different. I have the vegan dish. It was huge and delicious. I bought the table coffee. She can out to show us how they roast the beans just before grinding. The coffee is a must.
Amazing, authentic food! This truly is a hidden gem in Jacksonville. The owners were very personable and you can tell that they take pride in the food they serve. Our large party of ten was easily accommodated and we were made to feel like family.
