I came into the restaurant starving. I needed water and a restroom. This establishment was packed wall to wall with guests. They found me a spot at the bar. The bartender was amazing and beyond helpful. I ordered our food to go and was happy to wait for my order. I enjoyed sitting and watching the speed of oyster bar orders. Wonderful atmosphere and great service. Food was delicious!
So, this was my first time trying seafood. I was feeling very adventurous...it failed. I didn't care for it at all -- just not my thing. My husband loved his swordfish and the lobster fingers though.
The server was amazing and made sure we were 100% satisfied when we left. She replaced my meal (by her own suggestion, I was just going to pay for it and not eat it.) with something different and was happy to do it. She also gave us free dessert! Her name was Brittany and she was absolutely amazing!
If you're ever in Pensacola, make sure you visit The Grand Marlin. Overall great experience! 🙂
The waitresses at the front and our waitress were polite and respectful. We got there 20 minutes before our reservation time, and they sat us down. Drinks were great, and the view was good as well. We weren't really amazed with the food, but it was still good. We feel we paid more than what the food is worth. It was still a great experience!
Food and service was fantastic. Got their 10 min early and were seated immediately even though there was a 2 hour wait for walk-ins. Randall was our server and he could not have done a better job. Great check-ins, great recommendations, and great attitude. The crab cake as an appetizer was a bit on the small side. But tasted wonderful. The lobster bisque was hearty and chunky just the way I like it. I ordered the Yellow Fin Tuna blackened with a ginger soy glaze and man it was good. 7 oz went a long way with that one. My wife got the shrimp risotto and enjoyed it immensely. The only complaints is that the presentation was a little lacking. Silverware unpolished and tablecloth looked like it had just been unfolded and thrown on. Nonetheless I give 5 stars for food and service.
Good location and a nicer, upscale experience for dinner. Honestly, is not that much more expensive than some of the local tourist trap beach bars/restaurants here. For sure it's going to cost you $$$, but not unreasonable for a special occasion. I also greatly appreciate that the staff doesn't turn their nose up to me when I come in with my family. We're a big family with younger kids so unfortunately that does happen some places. We've been several times now and always enjoy the food and the view if you sit "outside". They have a kids menu with good options. We always get a couple dozen oysters to start & recommend BBQ & Rockefeller. The ribs are better than the other BBQ joint up the street. Seafood is the main attraction here though. They also offer a full bar and beer/wine.
