Pros- possibly the best massage I’ve ever gotten. It felt amazing. She covered head, neck, shoulders, back, chest, arms, buttocks, and legs (more on the feet would have been nice). The lady was much stronger than she looked, and even got up on the table multiple times to get a better angle/more pressure.

Cons- lack of attention to modesty. I’m used to remaining covered by a sheet during a massage, except for the body part that is being worked on. The lady here just whipped the towel completely off from the get-go, leaving me lying totally exposed. She would then sometimes leave the room to get something, answer the phone, attend to the front desk... all while I’m lying there without even a towel for cover. Also, the door to the massage room opens right into the waiting area, and she frequently left it open. If someone had come in I would have been lying in full view. I’m chalking this up in part to a cultural difference. I don’t think the lady has been in the states long, and I know norms about modesty are different elsewhere. However, if operating an establishment in the US, one should be aware that people here feel much more uncomfortable with public nudity.

Also, there was some confusion at the end about the tip. I tried to give a $5 tip, and she kept saying $70, $70 (the massage itself was $60). She didn’t speak much English, but I think she was trying to haggle for a bigger tip? Probably a cultural difference again, but I find this rude and it made me uncomfortable. Tipping here is optional and based on the quality of the service, not something to be demanded. I ended up not tipping at all, because she basically wouldn’t take the money I was offering.

Summary- even despite those two pretty big cons, I will probably go back due to the good quality of the massage, and the fact that it is close to where I have appointments twice a week. I might use google translate next time to try and communicate better.
