Nick's Boathouse

After eating here one time, appeal of this restaurant is definitely the Bayside location and atmosphere. We sat outside and it was quite lovely. The night we were there (a Thursday at around 7pm) seemed to be very busy and it appeared they may have been understaffed. When we finally got a server assigned to us, she was great. Very attentive and kind. The people that brought out our food did not bring out silverware, and there was not any on the table when we were seated. I had the Lobster tacos, which were pretty good. One of my sides was the coleslaw, and it was nothing to write home about, but the sweet potato fries were quite tasty. The favorite dish of the night was the Crab macaroni and cheese. Per my son, it was excellent, and he ate the whole serving, which was a generous one. We will definitely go back and try more dishes.

Really enjoyed this place. It's right on the coast for a gorgeous view and the staff was very friendly and accommodating even though they were super busy. I had the Boom Boom shrimp tacos, and they were delicious. The coconut shrimp they served was the best I've ever tasted; and I've had coconut shrimp at many, many, different places over the years. Our server, Dakota, was super friendly and attentive. My only complaint is the coleslaw wasn't very good. However, that's small compared to how good the rest of the food and the service is. I definitely recommend this place.

Great seafood gumbo. Not crowded and service very quick & efficient. Really liked the outside deck. I will go back again if I am in the area. I had a gastric bypass 7yrs ago & cannot eat a lot. I usually make 2 meals out of one. I almost could not finish the gumbo, but tasted so good, I stayed a little longer just to finish it off. You all need to try Nick's. Prices were reasonable.

On vacation, so who knows what the day to day is like but it just couldn't get anything exactly right. Was told we cannot sit outside when we came in to be put on the list for a table. Five minutes after being seated they have tables getting filled left and right out there. Would have been nice to have the live music! Our food was good, except that my food was hot, gf was cold and congealed. Our sever is what pulled a one star to a three star though. He was outstanding! He was quick with drinks and refills. Knew the menu well and spoke like someone who cared about the experience. When I come back to Pensacola, I may or may not give it another shot
