Shannon's Seafood Kitchen

Our flight from Kansas City to Pensacola had just landed when my husband began to look for a seafood restaurant for lunch. Thanks to outstanding Google reviews, we went to Shannon's.

The first thing you'll notice about Shannon's is the friendly atmosphere. Shannon's wife, Tina, greeted us with a big country smile and a "welcome y'all" as we entered the clean, and obviously new, establishment. Radiant, Tina led us to our table and asked if we'd eaten with them before. Admitting we were from out of town, Tina proceeded to make selection recommendations, while assuring us everything was fresh and made from scratch daily. Even the frying oil is changed daily, she told us. WOW!

I tried the local mullet, my husband the combination platter. The breading was light and flavorful and the seafood moist, flakey, and most certainly fresh. The collard greens were amazing and the hushpuppies like none I've ever had. In short, it was about the best fried seafood I've ever eaten.

I also enjoyed watching so many of the locals arrive to pick up orders while chatting with Tina. Everyone was so friendly and joyful!

I might just plan my next trip to Pensacola just to visit Shannon's again!

This has easily become my favorite restaurant in our area when it comes to fried seafood! It taste just like it was made at home (yes, made with love) and it shows! Everytime we go Shannon and Tina always make sure we are 💯% satisfied and today was no different! Today I got my usual fried shrimp plate but I wanted to try something different- here's the thing I don't like potato salad from ANYWHERE-- it's definitely one of those horrible foods you couldn't pay me to eat so today when Tina talked me into trying it you can only imagine how skeptical I was but, as always they didn't disappoint me and omg this loaded potato salad is something I will rave about to everyone from now on because it was so good. I ate everything on my plate! Also, the cucumber & tomato salad is freshly made in house and the best I've ever had!! So, bye, bye fries and hello to something new! My only complaint is that they aren't open tomorrow because I'm ready to go back already! Thank you again so so so much for ALWAYS BEING THE BEST!!

I just returned from Shannon’s Seafood Kitchen with my brother and sister-in-law. I was very impressed by the friendly atmosphere when we entered. The menu selections were amazing and we were informed that all of the seafood was brought in fresh daily. We ordered 2 different appetizers and each ordered different entrees. We wanted to try as much as possible. We agreed that everything we tried was the best seafood that we had ever had. The portions were huge and we had to get take-out boxes because there was so much! We were astounded when we found out they were working with 2 people short this evening and it was extremely busy. Everything was handled in a timely manner and everyone was still friendly and attentive to the needs of the customers. I will definitely be returning for the great food and friendly service. Thanks to all of you!

Definitely a local favorite as we heard amongst the customers. The shrimp and grits were creamy and lumpia was delicious. The banana pudding was done right! While eating folks talked to each other their tables and felt more like we were eating at a friend's house. Great atmosphere and owner of the restaurant is very kind. We will definitely be back for more delicious cuisine and bring our family.

Delicious food! However it's so delicious, that word gets around quick so make sure you don't wait too long to arrive. Because pretty much every day they get so much business they end up either selling out or have to close early. Will definitely eat there again.
