The Anchor

The fried shrimp is always fried perfectly. It is definitely a place for the older crowd, most of the clientle being 50+, but we go in with our two-year-old all the time. Not a drinker myself, but they have a full bar with a pretty good happy hour. The friendliness of the staff just can't be beat.

I only visited once but it was a quaint restauraunt across from the beach. The inside was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was good. The bathrooms are only big enough for 1 person at a time, which could be a good thing or a bad thing. There's a bar by the front entrance with an area for live music. I saw a musician packing up as I was entering so you may have to arrive early in the evening to experience it. Inside the building resembles a boat, with objects like a helm's wheel to enhance this effect.

Stopping here was the right move! Our server couldn't have been more pleasing in friendliness and efficiency. Now to the food. I ordered the lobster and grilled shrimp which is cooked expertly and with such a sweet delicate flavor accompanied by butter, of course. The chef stepped out afterward to see if we are enjoying it. A super treat for $22, and it also included a generous serving of fresh sauteed zucchini and squash! We would give it 10 stars!!!

Always fun at the Anchor. There's a daily roll of the dice. The food is always good, served hot! Stephenie the bartender is attentive and fun. Great place.

It is a great place to eat. Friendly staff. Wonderful food go back every time we are in Florida. The wings and clam chowder is out of this world. Burgers are more than you can eat. Love it.
