Captains BBQ

We have been here twice to be able to write a fair review. The location is ideal, on the river and perfect for those enjoying the park or out on the water. However, the BBQ is nothing to write home about. The pulled pork is dry and lacks flavor, the potato salad is to be desired but not for me. The counter help is lacking. One poor girl had a line to the door and taking orders over the phone then was ridiculed by her fellow staff for asking for someone else at the register. This is not an ideal way to do business.

Incredible barbeque and incredible service! I had the grown up grilled cheese and it was some of the best grilled cheese I have ever had. Great homemade deserts made by in house pastry chef too.

Well, well, what a surprise. This was probably the best St Louis ribs, I have ever had. Tender, meaty, great bark, perfect smoke flavor and ring. Once you navigate the ordering and seating system, the food is served lightening fast!
Beer and wine, save room for the desserts.

Best BBQ around. Love their ribs, beets salad, and greens. The restaurant is laid back, self serve, picnic style, located amongst beautiful old Southern Oaks on the water. Dress down.
