Bonefish Grill

Because we travel for business, we end up dining at chain restaurants. So, when we dine out for pleasure we tend to avoid chains. Bonefish Grill is an exception to that rule. We enjoy the menu selections and service, both of which are typically excellent at Bonefist locations. The Brandon Bonefish Grill meets our high expectations of the chain. Service is excellent and the food is well prepared.

Though the appetizers and meal were very tasty we had to ask about the bread that is typically served when you order. I ordered a regular Coke but received a diet Coke. The butter that is usually warm, clear and oh so buttery for dipping your lobster appeared to be a butter substitute was milky in color and offered no buttery flavor. I will go back again because everyone has a bad day occasionally.

Our service was excellent, manager is on the ball right where she can do the best job checking everything. She was all over the place ensuring it all went well for a true great experience. Waiter was superb very attractive to detail. Excellent job Bonefish Grill

I'm normally a huge fan of Bonefish. I went there all the time when I lived in Sarasota but I have had a bad experience the last two times I went to the one in Brandon. My friend took me there for brunch on Sunday a couple weeks ago and the server got multiple things wrong. Completely missed ordering our appetizer and the last mimosa I ordered as well as completely giving away the surprise for my birthday desert my friend had talked to the host about. He was very apologetic and I know he was having an off-day because he has been our server before and done a great job. Tonight I went again & sat at the bar to get the free Bang Bang Shrimp I had been emailed for my birthday. I definitely would have tipped more if the bartender had given me the last half inch of wine that was in the bottle instead of putting it back in the ice. The man next me ordered one at the same time as me and he got the extra half inch. It was obvious he was a regular. They asked him if he wanted bread and how his food was. Me not so much. The bartenders were more interested in talking about their designated driver than clearing my dirty plates away or asking if I needed anything. I was a server and bartender for 10 years so I was surprised Bonefish didn't have more professional bartenders.

I choose 4 stars because the pricing is a little on the high side. That being said, our waitress, Austin, was great! She was very attentive and pleasant. Our food was perfect. We went on a Monday so it wasn’t too busy. Good food and a full bar with great service.
