Incredible food... roast pork is delicious... paired with some delicious black beans and rice and you have a huge plate of amazing food... it's a must stop everytime I'm in Tampa... highly highly recommended....

This place has the best value for the money.
If you love Cuban food this is your place.
I especially love a Cuban sandwich best in Tampa only $5

Very reasonably priced. For how busy it gets at lunch the staff do an excellent job at keeping the line moving. The consistency of the quality and taste of the food here is impeccable. The plantains are some of the best I've had in the Tampa Bay Area. Some complain the dining area is out of date and dingy, however, I feel the ambiance of the restaurant adds to the authenticity of the cuisine. I.e., you don't want an atmosphere of Chili's or Applebee's when you're eating Cuban food. The Cuban sandwiches are always a solid choice here as well.

Nice hidden gem for lunch for any local business person. Freshly-made meats and sides every day at reasonable prices. I usually get the half and half combo meal where you select two meat proteins (half and half orders of each) and two sides for about $7.50 if you have questions, the staff is helpful and will walk you through the ordering process. They also have a pick-up window if you want to call ahead and be in and out quickly. Always gets busy for lunch, so you know that's a good place.

This was my first time here and I wanted my food to go. Walking up to the counter I asked the girl if I could do a to go order, she asked if it was a sandwich or a plate, I told her both, so she took my order for a Cuban then pointed me towards the line telling me I didn't need the tray, that they would just put it into a to go container. They had six choices for lunch and it comes with two sides. It was definitely a hard choice, but I chose the pork. I also got red beans with rice and green beans. After I had made my choice I saw the black beans. I was so tempted to buy another meal just so I could have black beans and rice, but I restrained. They had various drink options from both a fountain and a cold cooler. Then I was at the cashier. You can pay with cash or credit card. For both the sandwich and the meal it came to around 14.00. That's pretty reasonable. The sandwich was around 6 dollars and the meal was 6.75 plus tax. I don't live in Tampa so the smells we're driving me crazy on the way home. I just finished eating the meal and I have 2/3rds of it left. So just so you know, the helping is very generous. I would definitely recommend this place, good food for great price.
