    Great selection of beers from sours to IPA's. Menu has a good variety of bar food with vegan options. I got the vegan beyond burger and it was simple and delicious...and I'm not vegan. Indoor outdoor space with a variety of ages. Only negative is too little parking.

    When I am in the area I make this a go to spot. Great food and the best beer selection around. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the Cuban sandwich is the BEST!

    While I was staying in the Heights I came here both nights for a nightcap after dinner. Very good and unique selection of beer and wine. The staff was very knowledgeable. It wasn't too packed but I was there on a Monday and Tuesday night.

    The Independent is the perfect neighborhood bar and cafe. The food here is great, with a fairly robust vegetarian selection all the way to traditional German food. The beer selection always seems to skew more to European beers, but they usually also have something local on draft. Great place to chill out on the patio.

    The Independent is an awesome spot for discovering craft curated beers from around the world. Even though I love the local beer scene in Tampa, it is refreshing to discover a place that has such a diverse selection. I recommend this place as a quick meet up spot during the day or before dinner. They also have awesome live indie music on the weekend. Cheers!
