Vegan- and vegetarian-friendly! We stopped here off the interstate to grab some dinner and were absolutely thrilled we did. The food was fantastic. The service was quick. The ladies who work there are incredibly kind and helpful (plus they love doggies!). It was a wonderful experience and meal. We will definitely stop in again next time we’re in the area. ????
Great food! I’ve been to the middle east on three occasions and this is one of the best restaurants in town for middle eastern food.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. They have the best shawarmas in Tampa. All the food here is very authentic. We no longer buy hummus at the store because it’s so good here. Once you have their hummus you won’t be able to eat the prepackaged sabra anymore.
Authentic Mediterranean food and a large selection. Both the mixed grill and chicken schwarma are very good. Service is friendly even if it is not especially efficient. They are happy to explain anything on the menu. The interior is a little run down and either a/c isn't working correctly or they keep it turned up to save costs but if you are more interested in the food than the atmosphere it is a good choice.
A Greek restaurant north of Tampa Palms, it is not easily seen from BBD. In fact, I did a Google search for restaurants near me and actively looked for something new to me. Petra's was that place.
On my visit, I had the Gyro Combo, which included fries and a beverage. They have ketchup and hot sauce on the tables but I don't care for either, so they offered me some garlic sauce, which had a similar thickness to sour cream but much tastier. Additionally, there was a small sampling of vegetables in a vinegar and water with a touch of salt. What is interesting about this mixed vegetable portion is that they allow it to marinate in the vinegar for about two weeks before serving, and it was delicious.
Beverage selections include the usual soft drink choices, but they also have juices and teas available. As well, they have Coca Cola in the bottle from Mexico, which means it has sugar and not the high fructose corn syrup of regular sodas.
The female manager was very polite and helpful. This place will definitely be included among my dine out choices in the future.
