Rubio's Coastal Grill

I originally found Rubio's Coastal Grill in Phoenix, Arizona - it became one of my favorite restaurants to go to. When I moved to Central Florida, I was super happy to find a Rubio's here, too!

The food is good because it's made fresh. It's a sustainable restaurant from the recycle-able to eco-friendly packaging to the policies on sourcing intelligently. This is an ever expanding restaurant chain that is doing it the right way with the people and the planet in mind.

The price is amazing compared to the quality and portions of food received.

The food is made with care and it's delicious from the West Coast to the East! As a matter of fact, I've introduced family and friends to Rubio's who are also fans of the good food!

Texmix (southwestern) style menu offering tacos/burritos/salads with beef, chicken, or shrimp. A self serve, house made salsa/sauce bar offers a variety of flavors to compliment the entree or chips. Clean environment & service with a smile!

Very decent fish taco. Covers the essential bases:

Reasonable quality fish (good portion) with a crisp but non-greasy batter.
Soft corn tortillas (flour tortillas are an abomination on a fish taco)
Garnished with shredded cabbage--not lettuce (this is essential for a fish taco, save the lettuce for the chicken or the beef)

There is a selection of salsas and wedges of fresh lime. What could be better?

Also, the weekday lunch special (2 fish tacos + drink) is an excellent value. No chips, no beans--you don't need to eat that much for lunch anyway.

Stopped by here because I was craving Mexican and read the great reviews on this place. I’m so happy I decided to come in! Food is awesome, quality food. Very clean and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back when I was yummy tacos or burritos or even a salad!
