I love coming to this place.. it's a little bit old-fashioned but the food is great and the people that own the place is great also. They have such a loving heart how that always trying to help someone. I love eating their breakfast I live all the way at Town & Country and I drive down just to have their breakfast. I love their coffee their bread the eggs and bacon. And I love how the old people sit around talking about the past. Everyone is like a big family no one is excluded everyone will talks to each other in breakfast. So family-orientated. Thank you for all the lovely breakfast I have had here .me and my friends enjoy coming down..

I adore El Gallo! It’s character and original West Tampa charm makes me feel like I walked into Abuelas house while she is cooking in the kitchen. It’s literally HOME! And if they weren’t near by, I would probably starve most days. They always take great care of me and already know what I’m going to order when I call. That’s the type of service and attention to detail you can’t pay for!

Delish Good Cuban food. Fast service. The place needs some TLC and update on Decor, but over all my experience was very good. Nice people.

When I first moved to Tampa this is the first place my sister brought me when I started to miss home (NJ) .I fell in love with the food and the people who serve it as well. The owner and my husband always have conversations and he asks how we're doing. They even held a charity for a little girl in need. Please try them out, its a wonderful cozy place with good people and food. It doesn't get any better than that! :)

I was visiting my friend down in Tampa and he brought me to this little slice of Cuban heaven where I had some of the best food I have ever eaten. Every time I come down to Tampa I have to eat the Cuban food and this place by far has to be the best Cuban sandwich I have ever eaten. The restuaraunt is family owned and they are very friendly and I can tell they are passionate about the food which is evident when you take that first bite. The Cuban bread is baked to that perfect buttery and crisp feel and you hear that satisfying crunch when you bite down into this beautiful creation. When visiting Tampa El Gallo De Oro is a stop that must be at the very top of your list if you truly want to experience all that this great and cultured city has to offer.
