Panera Bread

Great food! Good selection. Friendly staff!!

Panera has been around for a while but I was never compelled to try it until I started working near one so it was convenient. I'm so glad I tried it. Friendly service and nice selection, a combination for success.

I had the pick 2 combo, half a steak and white cheddar sandwich, and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. I had bread as my side and Pepsi to drink. I also had a thumbprint almond raspberry cookie for dessert. The soup was outstanding, as always. I wasn't completely happy with the sandwich, but that was my fault, not panera's. The menu clearly states that there is a horseradish sauce on this sandwich and I don't care for horseradish. Everything else in the sandwich was fantastic. The cookie was also surprisingly good. I got it because it was small, compared to the chocolate chip cookies, which I have had many times. Overall, I was very happy with the meal.

The service was good. The order taker was very patient with us. There are so many great choices. It was hard to decide what to order. The food came up very quickly. However, the turkey chili was warm and not hot. The southwest chili lime chicken salad was good, but would have been better if the chicken was warm.
