Food is great overall, just not quiet up to par to their normal superior standards these past few years. Staff is hit or miss. One week it will be excellent and the next it will be complete ineptitude. Love the 1905 salad, but I always need extra lemon and extra dressing for the past few years. I’m guessing they made some changes in the back that altered the original taste and style. And all I’m doing is putting it back to the original way it should have been done.
The Columbia never disappoints. The location is convenient and it’s a great historic building. The drinks are to die for. The waiters, bartenders and staff are attentive and really pay attention to your needs. The food is outstanding and well worth the price. If there was any downside it was the hour wait midweek, but that highlights how popular the restaurant is. Highly recommend this restaurant!
My cousin and I went to the Columbia restaurant recently. Even though I live in Tampa, it was my first visit down there. It was also my first visit to the Columbia restaurant. As we had already had lunch, we went there primarily for their dessert. They are famous for their fl my cousin and I went to the Columbia restaurant recently. Even though I live in Tampa, it was my first visit down there. It was also my first visit to the Columbia restaurant. As we had already had lunch, we weren’t there primarily for their dessert. They are famous for their flan; that is a reputation that is well-deserved. It was the best I have ever had anywhere. The service there was efficient and courteous. The interior of the restaurant is extremely lovely and very reflective of the Spanish connections that Ybor city has. The tile work on many of the buildings is really beautiful and the Columbia restaurant is no exception. I highly recommend going to this restaurant.
Perfect place for a quiet quick lunch or bringing a group for dinner! Consistency is always provided of great food and service!
2/9/19 yet another amazing experience Constance was a great server! The boys loved hearing her inform us and the tables around about the activities in the area!
Thank you for the great food and service!!
We didn't have a reservation so ended up waiting almost an hour b4 being seated... bread was hot, salad delicious and entrees of crab & shrimp gnocchi was outstanding. My husband had a fajita which was also excellent! Very good service...
