The waitresses had a friendly competition among themselves to see who could wear the most unique and artistic stockings. I had no idea nylons came with such beautiful patterns. Beyond that, the food was great, service was fast and attentive, and the food came out hot and delicious. Oh, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, a great experience!
Oh my. I don't know any other superlatives to assign to this place that haven't already been said. I have never been to a restaurant that has truly been this impressive and maintained it's quality over the years. Quality is the best word to describe it. The meat, the wine, the appetizers, the service and attention to detail really makes this a truly unique special place. Worth every penny every time I have been here.
Bern's has been around longer than me. Going here is an experience. Often rated very highly, it never fails to deliver. The ambience is unique and familiar. The food is exquisite. The wine list is massive. The pageantry of it is unforgettable. For such a good meal, I am always shocked at how reasonably priced it is. I spend time trying to find reasons to come to Tampa and visit Bern's. It is not convenient but it is so worth it.
While there, make sure you take the kitchen and wine cellar tour. Save room for dessert too (or overindulge and enjoy doing it as is more likely).
Amazing! Not just good dining, Bern’s is a dining experience!
From the moment you walk in, you know this will be different. See my photos to understand. The menu started off a little confusing, until you realize there is a second page with cook temps & sizes for each of the styles on the previous page.
Our waiter was kind enough to ensure we wanted to make our dessert reservations when ordering our meals. Dinner included the most amazing French Onion soup, and four other pre-meal courses. The entree was cooked perfectly and was tender as possible.
After dinner, we got to tour their amazing kitchen & wine cellar. Then dessert... upstairs. Excellent selections, semi-private personal dining rooms.
Overall, the service was amazing, the food incredible, and the establishment impeccable. Don’t miss out on one of the premier dining experiences in the country.
This is not just a restaurant, it's an entire experience. Make sure to do dinner, the kitchen and cellar tours and a visit in the dessert room! From the moment you arrive to be sat. I strongly encourage anyone that comes to skip appetizers unless you have a larger table.
Our steaks were both cooked to perfection and were absolutely tender. The French onion soup was delicious and flavorful. The wine selection is incredible and the dessert options were plentiful.
For the dessert room you can't go wrong with any of the options presented to you. They were all incredible! But ultimately we got the macadamia nut sundae. The hot fudge is imported from France and melted on premises.
Ask questions and enjoy your experience!
