Samurai Blue Sushi & Sake Bar

Good sushi. The service was impressive. We were a group of 20+ on a Friday night and they managed to get all of the food out quickly. Drinks were kept full and there were no problems. Really impressive.

The place was clean. Service was courteous although slow. Took a while to get simple house salad. Also had to remind the server to bring soy sauce for sushi. :) Here is the thing about non-American cuisine. If you try to be authentic and you have food (plates) name in foreign language, I can understand. What I don't understand is why would you have on the menu foreign names of the ingredients? You are not bringing them from Japan. You use American produce/ingredients. 90% of your customers are Americans. So put the American names in the list. And if you use foreign names, at least make sure your server can explain/translate to the customers what it really is. Otherwise, soup, salad, and sushi were good. Food quality and presentation were good.

The quality of the food is the best I've had in Tampa. Presentation is outstanding. Would be 5 stars if service crew was more attentive. Front of the house isn't on same level as back. I can't wait to revisit to see if service is better. Everyone has an off night.

The service was great. Sarah was our server and the sushi chefs did an outstanding job from the sushi to the green tea. The owner introduced herself very nice. The ribs are fantastic, yes ribs..try them. I will be back....Enjoyed our mean and our service was outstanding. JMSH

Been a couple times. Love this sushi place. Somewhat pricey, but the service is great and the sushi is impeccable. Highly recommend the roll that contains blue crab. So good!
