We moved cross country and Cephas was one of our first stops. My husband went there when he was stationed in Tampa in the early 90’s. He was so excited to take me there for the first time last year. We drive across the state to go to Cephas. Clean, delicious food without added salt and sugar. Responsibly sourced ingredients. And the aloe!! I’m a total covert to drinking aloe. Try all his drinks: tamarind juice, pineapple ginger drink, and his delicious homemade health tea. You can’t leave feeling bad, the food and the drinks are so good. People flock from all over for his wisdom, his infectious personality and his remarkable food. I have to say I wasn’t much for Jamaican food and then I went to Cephas. I love Indian curry and HIS Jamaican curry is the most outstanding curry I have EVER had. His little restaurant is completely unpretentious. Very organic, no frills - but who needs that? You are made to feel at home the moment you walk in the door. He’s a teacher, a culinary artist: I call him a “health architect”. I feel better every time I leave and can’t wait to return!! A very friendly place. People ar very nice and informational on all types of plants and foods. The food is fantastic. The pineapple ginger drink and aloe drink are so good and so good for you. For a place that you wanna chill and relax and have a nice food to eat come to cephas.
