Portofino's Italian Kitchens

Service was great. We had the pizza. The crust was outstanding an they were generous with the toppings. Where there is room for improvement is the sauce. Very fresh tomato flavor, but it needed a little more spice/flavor. A bit of garlic and oregano would go a long way. Overall though very good. We will be back!

The nicest and friendliest restaurant employees you will find in the city of Tampa. I would highly recommend this restaurant and you will not find a friendlier staff anywhere in Tampa. From the owners / chef who will come out to your table and make sure you like what he prepared for you to the servers who truly care when they ask you how did you like your dinner. Also, you cannot beat their lunch special of $7.95 for a personal pizza and salad.

There's only ONE thing killing this restaurant and is the waiter (short, light skin male guy). The food is delicious, place was clean, welcoming, plenty parking spots, good size portions. Now, let address Mr. Waiter, too loud, screaming none sense, bad demeanor, a talker not a listener [yes, he is the waiter] a bit arrogant and the bell for orders he thinks is a toy, i guess ringing it is fun for him. I walked to the bathroom and i over looked and the chef was maybe 10 feet from him and he was ringing the bell like crazy; onces or 2x is enough to get someones attention. The food was great! the chef/owner is nice, friendly and talented with his meals, but this waiter is killing his restaurant and let me tell you, my husband is the director for an international very well known hotel which of course has restaurants and he was just saying the waiter is killing the experience. I will def go back to this restaurant on that guys day off. The female waiter with lighter hair was good. Again... FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!!

A hidden gem. This is a small local restaurant where the food is really good. Flavorful soups! Good service. A cozy place to visit often.
