American Grill

First time here tonight, we drove up from Port St Lucie. Austin wash our server and the experience was great. We had the beer pub dip with pita chips the pita chips were homemade and the pub dip was really good just the perfect consistency and taste. The food was also really good. The burgers were amazing cooked perfectly and juicy. The Texan which is chicken breast and pulled pork was very good as well as the fries. Food is cooked to order so it's very fresh and you can taste the difference. The beer prices were very good especially for craft beer selections. The live music made the atmosphere even better. The chef came to our table to check on things and that's always a plus it says a lot about a place when the chef takes the time to see how your experience was. It was not very crowded but hoping that people just go check it out you won't regret it, support your local businesses.

So far I've only had burgers here, but they are really REALLY good. One day I'll try something else, but for now, I know I can't go wrong with a burger. I also enjoy the ambience, it's a nice place!

I have tried ordering take out from this place 3 times in the past few months... they never, ever have answered their phone! I have called literally 10 times tonight.
If we go eat in the restaurant it’s been ok and it’s close to our home... which is why take out would be great if they would answer their phone... aw well... city tavern it is!

I was giving feedback as a customer (or a possible customer if phone would have been answered). As I mentioned, this was not just an isolated incident. This was the third time within a few months this had happened... I do appreciate the response from the chef.

The hostess, Sam, was absolutely wonderful when I came for take-out this evening. This is my second time there and had the Texan this time and was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Previously I'd had the Parisienne burger which was duck and amazing. Food and service is outstanding with a truly exotic menu selection. As i am not a fan of live entertainment during meals, i didn't particularly care for that but the rest of the atmosphere is enjoyable. Major kudos to the staff!!!

overall the food was really good... great burger and fries. the fried pickles appetizer was sliced way too thin for me ..and the burgers took a long time to arrive. we were the only customers there.... the waitress was great (forgot her name).. decent beer selection... would definitely go back for the burgers ????
