Server Aubrey was Fantastic! Personable and warm. She explained all the beers you have on tap so well it was actually really impressive. It's always awesome to find a server who seems to really know what they're doing.
We live nearby and have visited the restaurant about 10 times. I love going here and I’m looking forward to our next visit. I’m a big IPA fan. They have two. One is their regular IPA and I would rank it a 3.5 out of 5, good. They have an imperial IPA that I give 5 stars, excellent. My bride prefers Belgian style ales. They have a decent one which she usually orders. It’s no Chimay but the Belgian style ales are rarely great in the States.
Our favorite day to visit is Mondays, Burger Monday with $5 off their signature burger or their vegan alternative, the Beyond Burger. It may be the only place in town to get the Beyond Burger. We always enjoy it and find their fries very good, 4/5. We’ve had a couple of visits with forgotten service but they comped some of our bill once and we easily forgave the error.
The outside area is really fun too if you have to wait, with a fire pit and good music playing.
The decor inside is very cool. There are placards that tell the story of the building history and a beautiful display of a giant Diesel engine once used to generate electricity.
It’s not on the beach but we’ll worth a visit if you are on the mainland.
Very good beer and always something new to try. Great food, try the Truffle Fries.
The guy(s) who put this place together did an awesome job. The bar and draft line is integrated into an early 1930 diesel engine.
A co-worker recommended American Icon as a great place to get locally brewed craft beer and great food. I chose a flight and had a hard time narrowing down my selection due to the number of interesting beers. I was very happy with the choices I made.
I also ordered food and the burger was excellent. The location is great and the place appears to be very well managed.
