Citrus Grillhouse

4 of us dined here this evening. Absolutely outstanding. Truly. It's rare that each portion of a meal is delicious but this was wonderful.
Shared the shishito peppers appetizer. Done perfectly. Unique.
Tomato mozzarella salad. Crunchy sea salt and tasty olive oil. Done perfectly. Crab salad. Amazing. We all had the snapper. It's served over a cold lemon pasta. Sounds weird but was a great foil for the fish. Grapefruit martini was light and refreshing. Banana creme brulee was bursting with flavor.
Vernon was our server. Most attentive. And personable. Confused by the naysayers. Almost reconsidered going because of some reviews. What a mistake that would have been. THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS MEAL.

What a great evening dining back at Citrus! The menu is fantastic, the food, beverage and dolce fantastic. Scott and staff have returned with greatness. Visiting from Naples with restaurants galore if Citrus, Scott and staff were there they would be on top. We miss the entire venue so much. Thanks for a great diner and just how lucky Vero Beach is to have you all there.

Thought I'd give Citrus one more try. Yes the ocean view is great. Service was good and has improved over the years. But it's still the same mediocre food that's way overpriced. My friend had a $17 hamburger. Good but nothing special. Other friend a crab appetizer. Good and a reasonable price. I had local snapper. Bland. No sauce. Over bland pasta for $36. If I'm going to pay that price for fish, I'll go to the Tides or somewhere they serve great food.
