Rock Bottom Seafood & Grill - Monticello

The food is excellent but tonight I called to verify closing time, twice and was told 9 pm. After driving 45 minutes to get there, it was 8:23 and the guy made eye contact with us and locked the door. I cashed and was told they are now closed. The sign on the door clearly stated 9 pm as well. We love their food and the service is great but I was very offended to have a door locked in my face after I drove 45 minutes

The food is excellent and the employees are as sweet as cotton candy. Only complaint was, everything is sticky. The floor felt like it had glue on it. No their fault though, the last owners did something to the floor. I wish some good Samaritans would invest some time and money to give this small town restaurant a face-lift .

They even cooked some of our seafood for us.

Food was fine, tables were clean, but the dining room floor had food on it, not swept around empty tables, and the floor was sticky. Was it sticky because of no flooring on the cement or from food? The service was OK, but not going out of the way to check on customers; just thought it would be extra sharp on a weekend.
