The Porch on the Green

Since we look for dog friendly places this has great porches with fans. It was comfortable temp wise. Had the buffalo chicken wrap with fries. Filling and satisfying.

Enjoyed eating outside on the lovely porch! Food was delicious, we had the seasonal flatbread and shrimp salad. We appreciate the renovated house turned restaurant. A wonderful addition to Monticello!

So glad we finally got in to the new place! By far the best food and service we've had in Monticello since moving here 4 yrs ago. The portabella panini was delicious, the fish & chips were fresh and also great and the Buffalo cauliflower appetizer was a nice change from the regular fried appetizers offered at most places and also delicious! We sat at the bar and even though they were busy the bartender Max made sure to ask us numerous times how we were and if we needed anything. Great bartender! All of the staff were hopping, the kitchen was busy, everyone was running around waiting on people yet they were all still pleasant, made conversation as they passed by and worked with smiles on their faces joking as they went....great staff... u can just tell this place will do well!! And we will definitely be making this our regular weekly stop for dinner in town! What a pleasure the whole meal was, i have NO complaints at all, they are newly opened so I'm sure they will run into kinks so be sure to try them again if your 1st visit wasn't that good, they will only get better as they grow. So happy to have a new place in town that cares not only about the food but the service! Wonderful place, and the prices were extremely reasonable! Best of luck to them!! Oh...and the place is gorgeous! Pretty decor, bright, and spotless!!

Took a drive north from Jacksonville to do some exploring came across The Porch on the Green. Food is very good, atmosphere is great; service is on par and so are the drinks. It is a restored old period home with lots of space. The grounds are beautiful as well. It was well worth the trip and will definitely be back. Would be a great place for a small wedding or rehearsal dinner.

Way more seating than I expected from the pictures! The food, service, and other patrons were all spectacular. We had a great time. Not to mention some very delicious and unique cocktails. If you like bread pudding, their's is out of this world!
