The Hornet Café

OMG, our coffee treats were delicious! Frozen amazingness to enjoy at the local springs. Will be back because the food smelled like stuff I gotta try, but I'd already had lunch.

A friend and I stopped in for lunch after a really difficult week. Small quiet Cafe with amazing subs and customer service. I'm lactose intolerant and unfortunately they were out of coconut milk. So the guy went to the store and got some just so that I could have my smoothie. It really made my day especially after the week that I had. I will definitely be coming back

Last week my parents and I spent a week in Mayo to visit my grandmother at her assisted living facility close by. Fortunately we found Hornet Cafe and ate breakfast there everyday that week. It's an informal little place with great food, good service and actually good coffee! Their roasted red pepper bread was so delicious we bought a loaf and brought it home! We'll be visiting again in the spring and are so pleased we found an excellent spot to have fresh homemade food!
