Sol De Mexico

Took my 4 yr old here on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant interior is real Mexican decor, very clean, cheerful and all staff was smiling and very courteous. We decided to sit outside since weather was perfect, there are 4-5 tables and the area was clean and decorated with beautiful plants. I had the taco dinner with shredded beef for 9.99 and it was very good. Guacamole was extra at 2.50 for a small serving.They do have a children's menu for 4.99, my child had chicken nuggets and enjoyed them but didn't like the beans and rice. All food was fresh and very good, waiter was awesome with perfect timing. I also had a house margarita that was great. We really enjoyed it here and highly recommend it. Afterwards we walked across the street to the park and enjoyed the playground and sunset. A nice evening.

I gave 5 stars because ...Sol De Mexico is a well known Mexican Resturant that locals and travelers flock to for a taste of the authentic Mexican comfort food. The interior is warm and inviting, the Mexican classics like sombreos and sugar skulls are seen throughout the establishment. The brightly colored art is pleasing to the eye. The wait staff is friendly and usually pretty fast.. The restroom was clean and there is outdoor seating available when the weather is right.

I have been there a few times and feel it has improved over the last year or so. The presentation and atmosphere are good, and the food was tasty and well portioned. We especially love the horchata. The service was not ideal, we had to wait at nearly every step, and that keeps it from 5 stars. But overall a solid 4 stars and a place we will be happy to return to.

This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice, the staff was polite and fast. The food was outstanding and very large quantity. You won't leave hungry. Make sure to try the fried ice cream.... Yummy.

I’ve been going to Sol De Mexico for years and can honestly say, I’ve never had a bad meal from here. The servers are always nice and accommodating and on point. Their lunch specials are great as well. Highly recommend this place to anyone in Lake County who is looking for great Mexican food. PS their margaritas are awesome! ????
