Melo - Colombian Stuffed Arepas & More

Absolutely delicious you gotta come and try these delicious arepas also very good service.

Place was recommended on social media as a place to visit on Mora. We found the market where the restaurant was located. We were going to order a bunch of arepas but I guess we got there late and were only able to order 1 chorizo, 1 chicken & 1 cheese. My wife is of Colombian descent so I'm familiar with the dish. I was surprised they didn't have any hot sauce. Though the maracuyá juice was good.

So good! To quote my girlfriend “I can die happy now”. Steak was so tender and chicken was juicy! Will be back to try the pork and everything else!

This is a literal hole in the wall, stuck in a small corner of an indoor marketplace at Mt. Dora. I discovered Melo while eating outdoors, and smelling the food being cooked through their tiny window. I was determined to try it!

I bought the chicken arepa which was made fresh to order and took about 10-15 minutes to make. The chicken was shredded and tender, soaked with delicious sauce and topped with fresh Columbian cheese. Besides it smelling and tasting wonderful, it was also a lot larger than I expected!

The food was amazing. I really enjoyed the quality and heart that was put into making this food. These are the areas you've been missing. I've been there a few times and I'm impressed each time. If they have the passion fruit cheese cake definitely get it. I would rate higher bit I can't.
