What's not to love about Iguana Mia??? Okay, so it isn't necessarily 100% authentic but hey, it's pretty spectacular if you're looking to stuff yourself silly on chips and salsa (they have THE best chips and salsa presentation - the sour cream is an added bonus) while waiting for the main entrees to come out. The menu is crazy-full of options and the margaritas are delish! I love their fresh tacos (both soft and crunchy, especially when filled with grilled shrimp) as well as their street-style tacos. The enchiladas, though good, are not the best I've had but the fajitas (steak, shrimp and chicken) are wonderful. On occasion they have a fajitas-for-two special that includes a pitcher of margaritas (trust me: one pitcher is all you'll need). In the past the fried ice cream has always been such an excellent treat but during our last visit (about two weeks ago) we were disappointed to find our fried ice cream had only about half a scoop of ice cream (clearly a dud and hopefully just a one-time mistake). But hey, as long as Iguana Mia is around we'll continue being loyal patrons. All our out-of-town guests love it, too!

First- if you like margaritas- order the handmade margaritas. Just do it- even at $13 each you'll probably order another round like we did.

Second- the special complimentary sauces that arrive with chips are very special indeed. Great start to a meal

We ordered a "small" queso dip- very satisfactorily for three hungry guests. I had two tacos; one fish, one shrimp, blackened. Very good. Wife had taco salad and she said it was delicious. Daughter enjoyed steak and shrimp fajita. The portion of steak and shrimp was somewhat modest but the taste was exceptional.

Our server was Margarita- appropriately named for this place. She was very prompt, accurate, helpful with explanation and suggestions. Food appeared very quickly, hot and fresh.

Our favorite meal in Bonita Springs! The perfect combination of quick courteous service, tasty special margaritas, home made sauces with chips, tasty entrees and relaxed atmosphere in beautiful dining room. We actually spent less here for dinner than below par dinners at Fish House and Coconut Jacks!

We went for the Monday happy hour. The frozen wine sangria was really good and strong! Good prices, chips and salsa comes with lots of different kinds and a variety of hot sauces. We got the street tacos, they were very tasty.

My girlfriend and I just ate here for lunch and had a great experience. Laura, the host, was very kind and recommended the flautas which were very good. Our waitress, Tara, was excellent and very attentive. The tacos were very good as well. The portions were huge and the food was reasonably priced. Highly recommend trying this place!

Let me first say, it is VERY HARD to find authentic Mexican restaurants in Southern Florida. I can find a more authentic Mexican restaurant in rural America than here in S. Florida. Now the food here was good and there were a few authentic dishes. Unfortunately, the menu was missing many Mexican staple drinks and food options. This is overall a very good place. Food was great, service was fantastic, but I would only visit this place maybe once or twice a year.
