Basically the food was okay. Don't appreciate splitting and grilling my biscuit with that cheap grease. The eggs were just a little too under cooked. My server was awesome.
two of us was on the look out for something to eat later on at night. We went to Perkins on Cape Coral parkway and it was horrendous. We did not even get seated. So we drove across town and went to the Perkins on del Prado. The people there were sweet, attentive and very cordial to us. Our servers name was Shana. She was excellent. Could not have asked for better service. The service manager Jason Hubbard was delightful. he came around during our meal and asked if everything was okay, which it was. He took his time talking with us when we paid to leave. We decided at the last minute we would have a piece of pie. So he got that ready for us to go and it was just an all-around great experience. All around I really loved this place and to be honest one of the best Perkins I have ever been to. I would definitely recommend this Perkins at 1551 del Prado boulevard in Cape Coral to be one of the finest.
The food and prices were great, service was not so good. They were severely understaffed and our waitress was the only one waiting tables. She made some mistakes but anyone would waiting on that many tables alone. After they forgot a few items on our order, forgot my meal, and continuously forgot refills/boxes/condiments etc., she was kind enough to offer us free dessert. It wasn't her fault completely, but the service would be noticeably better if they manage to hire more staff.
I will be back!! We've been to many different Perkins Restaurants throughout the years, and the Del Prado location is by far the best! From food presentation to customer service, this store has it all. I've worked in the restaurant business for over thirty years, and this dining experience made such an impression on me that I had to take the time out of my day to highlight your restaurant and employees. Kristen, our waitress, was incredible. We were greeted with a warm welcome at the door by Jason, the manager on duty. Kristen took our drink orders immediately and made sure our appetizer order was put in and delivered right away while we decided on the rest of our order. She was incredibly kind to my elderly mother who suffers from dementia and sometimes takes a while to place an order. She took the time out of her busy night to put smile on my mother's face, and that in itself would warrant a five star review from me. However, the overall ambiance at your establishment has ensured a return customer for hopefully many years to come. Keep it up Jason and your awesome staff!
My son and I occasionally like to go to your typical Diner type restaurants, although I find it very difficult to compare the diners in Florida to those on the East Coast New York, New Jersey, Etc. We went to Perkins for a quick and easy dinner, and although this is not a diner it has a pretty extensive menu. Biggest problem was that they had no pancakes this evening. The batch was recalled. My son ordered the French toast and was very pleased with it. I ordered the turkey dinner oh, and it was fair. I'd ask for gravy on the side and my plate was smothered with gravy. I'd ask for the sauteed spinach, and had to tell the server that it was extremely bitter asked if it was frozen perhaps a freezer burn was the reason, but she told me that they do it fresh steemit and then sauteed it. She offered to bring me another vegetable which was there green beans with bacon. It's a canned green bean and very overcooked but the bacon is very undercooked. The stuffing for the turkey was not moist but yet it was sticky. Our server was very attentive, and wanted to make things right for us, but a server cannot control what is going on in the kitchen. I give this a 3-star because our dinner was okay but definitely not something I'd want to go back for. Franchise restaurants are the hardest to judge, and we may go back and try something different.
