Taverna Wood Fire Kitchen

Loved it. But came for dinner tonight and it was Out of Business. Sad.

Our group of 4 had an awesome experience. Every dish was tasty. The fresh made pasta was amazing. The staff was well informed. They knew the menu and they were able to explain all entrees in detail.

A bit of an undiscovered gem - and I hope this doesn't get it too discovered. Taverna is a bit off the beaten path and that's a good thing. It always has customers but it's not overcrowded. The food is terrific and perfectly portioned. And the staff is always attentive and eager to ensure a great experience. Go!

Pleasing the Palate
Delicious food with a twist with great service and ambience. I ordered the signature octopus thanks to my waitress Janette who highly recommended the appetizer. Great presentation and no words can express the combination of flavor that was smoked grilled on a bed if finger potatoes with a berry compote. It's a must order if you dine here. I had the house salad with the homemade citric vingarette and for dinner I had the Seafood trio. Hands down this restaurant is by far the best I ate while on vacation in Cape Coral Florida.

Fantastic place, a little out of the way meaning not on a main road. Great great food, I recommend the escargot, and the rack of lamb. All the soups I've had here are fantastic. The chef comes up with some unusual blends, but they work really well together. I am definitely a regular here for sure.
