Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I love coming to tropical smoothie no matter what location but I hate it when I get bad customer service, when I ask for no Splenda I got splenda. I brushed it off my shoulders, it's whatever it's just a little bit extra sugar. I'm accustomed to saying hello greeting the customer and thank you and then the guy that gave me my smoothie tossed my straw at me said nothing afterwards. Wow. I get it I work in customer service for a while myself but always treat the customer like new for the next one.

Very nice and tidy location. Has a great selection of healthy smoothies and food. The smoothies are also all a large size and worth the price

We arrived just after 9 p.m. (because per their Google listing they close at 10 p.m.) and when we pull up... they looked at us, then quickly turned off all the lights and literally stared at us... waiting five minutes for us to finally leave. Normally an awesome experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but today it was very disappointing... Maybe their Google hours are set wrong. But we drove to the Santa Barbara location specifically because they were open for an extra hour...

We arrive just after 8 and they close at 9. We were asked if it would be “for here or to go”, and we chose for here. We sat down and waited and received our food in a to go bag. We laughed it off and went and sat in our vehicle right outside and ate our dinner. Which was okay because the dining room was like an ice box. The staff turned the open sign off at 845. We left the parking lot before 9 pm, finished with our meals.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. The food was awesome, and the smoothies delicious!

It seems, though, that when they are ready to leave...they’re ready to leave. Maybe had we arrived at 730 our experience might have been different?
