Dixie Fish Co.

Needed a quick place for lunch! Loved it! My family and I split our meals because the portions are so big. The waitress was nice and my husband liked the beer. We also ordered the ceviche as a appetizer and was pleasantly surprised. We chose to come based the reviewed and weren’t disappointed.

This place is awesome. Outdoor dining on the water, live music, great food. I had the grouper Reuben which was delicious. Their menu has variety but it’s small enough that they do everything well. I drank two local beers, one of which was their own Whistlin’ Dixie by Ft Myers Brewing, and both were great. I definitely will be coming back.

This place is great! We came here while staying I. Sanibel for my birthday and saw that they had a vegan option on the menu. We walked in and were told we had a 30 min wait but it was more like 10. The place was packed so that was a nice surprise. The hostess took us to our table and we really wanted to sit near the water but she said someone else had requested that table. Within a few moments she came back and found a table for us that was closer to the water. Another awesome surprise. Our server Joe greeted us right away and took our drink order. We ordered cocktails which were only like $7 not on happy hour which is insane because we are used to paying double that where we live. Yet again, another amazing surprise. Both my wife and I are vegan so we ordered the impossible burger which comes vegan so no need to make modifications. This is rare in non-vegan restaurants. The burger had their signature seasoning on it which was delicious and the parsley potatoes were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Joe kept the drinks coming as we ate and chilled out for a bit. We will definitely be back next time we are on the Gulf Coast!

Food was spot on and staff was friendly! For the mussels, calamari, shrimps and fishes were all very fresh and well cooked with its Dixie Magic! It’s the best in the neighbourhood with a pleasant sea view!

Would however remark that the oysters were rather tasteless as it has been washed throughout, losing its ‘sea’ taste. Besides this, I am very satisfied and would definitely come again if I pass by.

Great experience that I wanted to share about. We ordered take out and sent someone from our group to pick it up and we had dinner on beach. We discovered that we were missing one of our entrees. It was a large order. We were disappointed but made due. I called a few hours later and had them look into it. They were so helpful. They checked our ticket and called me back very quickly with news of a refund. And also offered a free entree. very professional way of handling the error.

Also, food was amazing! We had a mixed group of vegetarians and vegans and pescatarians. Everyone found something to eat.
