Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We went here during a very busy breakfast time today, a Sunday.. With that being said we were seated and placed our orders pretty much right away. Then the waiting and waiting began. Probably waited at least 30 minutes, more like 40/45 for our food. It was decent , unfortunately my over med eggs were cooked over easy, very over easy and I managed to try a couple of bites but just couldn't bring myself to eat the runny mess and did not want to ask waitress for more as they were super busy and I didn't really want to wait again for food. The bisquits and grits tho were delicious as always. When the waitress came with our check and to clear off our table a bit she noticed my eggs left on plate and I told her I had been unable to eat them due to being under cooked. She offered more cooked right eggs and I declined as we were leaving soon and told her don't worry about it.. She said she would be right back , then manager came to speak with us, he apologized and offered same as waitress, but as I said, we were done so declined again. Waitress came back and joined the manager in apologizing again and handed us a new check minus the cost of my meal, which was a nice, unexpected surprise as I only didn't eat my eggs out of whole meal. Very nice gesture on the part of the management and staff at this Cracker Barrel and very appreciated by this grateful customer. Wonderful customer service and good food , definitely a happy customer and will return often , I'm sure.

Loved the theme, the place, and the store. I love how you can play simple games like checkers etc so you don’t get bored while waiting for your food. The prices are also great, ate there with my parents and boyfriend and I’m surprised with our bill.. Lower than I expected. We were all so so so full. I got their home style chicken ???? and their pumpkin pie latter. My parents got the peach tea. I’d say we had a great time.

One thing you can always count on at the Cracker Barrel restaurants is consistency in the menu. When you want a down-to-earth "feels like" home cooked meal, then this is the place. We've been in one or two that haven't had the best wait staff, but overall they take pride in their service and food offering. The Ft. Myers location on highway 80 is no exception. Great food and great service from the chain restaurant.

I love all the old candies and sodas they remind me of my childhood! We had the 10.79 Saturday special of country fried chicken. I had mine with green beans and hash brown casserole. We also had the excellent fluffy biscuits with butter and strawberry jam. You can't go wrong going to cracker barrel...they give a consistently excellent experience where you know you'll get the food as you want and expect.

Food good and country store is always enjoyable to shop. Service could be better with some additional detail training. Such as offering extra napkins when ordering fried chicken to absorb excess grease on hands. Food also took long to come out. Others arriving after us were served first. Have to believe order was initially lost or not placed immediately.
