We had seen many of the advertisements for Leopardi's on television. We were also familiar with Cornerstone, the kitchen home do-over company. We were up in the Fort Myers area and drove by the restaurant and decided to give it a whirl. We arrived around 4 so it was prior to the evening rush. Our server, Tammy, was fantastic. Tammy took great care of us during our first visit. First meetings and presentation is very important and Tammy nailed it. The food and beverages were great and the overall experience was great. This will be a keeper.
The food is very good. The service was extremely slow, but staff courteous and friendly. Better seating may have improved the atmosphere. We were seated close to the bar, restrooms and kitchen. That put a real crimp in the dining experience
We had a fabulous meal today. Our server was great however, when I told him I was a VIP member, he did confirm my account but charged me for two free meatballs. Honest mistake. The manager fixed the bill but our meatballs never did come out, just saying... this will not deter me from returning to this amazing restaurant. BTW, the sauce was excellent!!!!
My husband and I tried Lombardi's last night, and had such an amazing time! The food was unbelievable! From the family pictures, scriptures on the table, and the dishes on the menu, it is truly a family atmosphere. I felt like I was walking into a little Italian Grandma's house. We tried the fried mozzarella, meatballs, and pizza- the portions were huge, the sauce was so savory and delicious, everything came out quickly and was wonderful. We were also pleased with the pricing. I can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.
Food here is DELICIOUS. FRESH, and Very well seasoned, great menu selection. The bruchetta was excellent. I had the special, Chicken Sinatra. It was wonderful and more than enough of it - I took most of it home and had it for lunch the next day. The Chocolate Cake for dessert was also huge, enough that both of us shared it and had some left over. Best chocolate cake I've ever had.
Prices are on the medium-high side and it is loud inside. Not a quiet, cozy place - but lively and fun and well worth the visit. I'll definitely go there again.
