MCCARTERS BBQ

Just the basics: ribs, chicken quarters and that's all. I didn't see any sides, unless white bread is a side. Authentic southern tasting barbeque. Ask for the spicy sauce. Meat was what I wanted and that is what McCarters delivered. Located in the Historic Dunbar Neighborhood in Fort Myers.

Right across from the Imaginarium on MLK !!! There isn't a better place for several states to get better ribs. This gentleman takes his time to bring you the best. You will NOT be disappointed.

Super Delicious BBQ Food. I had Chicken BBQ Burger which was fantastic. There are lots of selection in BBQ food and I love the fact that the Service is always on time. People are Very generous and I would love to visit this place again and try other items on the menu as well.

Really, this place deserves five stars just because these are THE BEST ribs I have ever found... period. Unbelievable. The place looks terrible, run down, no sign, unclear where to park, or even enter the building, but the ribs are JUST SO DARNED GOOD! No atmosphere, no service, no extras, no frills, but the best ribs. Nothing else more to say.

Mister Carter is a great guy he works really hard to give back to the community, likely the only man I know that does the hardest work, when it comes to burning his hands making BBQ much respect to him.
I only wish he made more money from his hard work.
Was a time when I didn't have money and he allowed me to have a meal at no cost, however I did pay him back.
His BBQ is some of the best BBQ in Fort Myers, don't let the area keep you from stopping by his place.
I think I am going to have to stop in February to pick up a whole slab.
Wish he had sides to go with it, Collard greens and what not would be great, however that's a lot of work for one guy.
Personally I love the sauce mixed up on my ribs.
Driving by you'd sadly never know he's selling BBQ I think that hurts a lot of self run places.
Should put a sign outside.
